Taylor Swift Has It Right

I'm not a Taylor Swift fan. I am not a big music listener. I am an Apple fanboy. But Taylor Swift is right on and Apple dead wrong on the issue of not paying artists for their music during the three month free trial of Apple Music. It's interesting that instead of lambasting Apple, as well she could, she instead appeals to Apple's contributions to both technology and music to insist that they should do the right thing for struggling artists. Her most powerful sentence reads, "We don't ask you for free iPhones. Please don't ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation."

It's to Apple's credit that they have reversed policy on this and will pay for songs played during this three month trial period beginning June 30.
