At the meeting on Tuesday the above site was being discussed as a way to watch favourite movies.
I tried to download but am having problems, I get a message saying that the files I am trying to download are no longer available.....has anyone any dealings with this site of late?

Re: http://getpopcornti.me
When I went to the site you reference, I saw this message:
Download links are down for a bit
We'll be right back! Careful when downloading from other sources, as we have the only official ones.
The other question I would have is what device are you attempting to download to. Howard downloaded to his desktop system. I doubt that this would work on a mobile system such as an iPad.

The site is also says it's currently in beta, so you have to consider that not everything is working the way it should. Beta software is not for the faint of heart. You might want to hold off until it's more stable.

We just ran out of popcorn. Or was it we just ran out of time. Either way Popcorn Time has closed down. Read it and weep. Death of another bold venture.

Popcorn Time not dead yet. It's been resurrected, but when will it be available again?

Re: http://getpopcornti.me
As has already been reported, the developers of Popcorn Time have backed off of the project. Fortunately another group called YTS has picked up where they left off. Though I haven't tried it myself, I understand that it quite powerful and easy to use. It was still in beta when the original developers abandoned it, so your results may vary. Based on the description as to how this works, it seems to work a lot like Vuze, though it appears to be even simpler. My understanding is that it streams rather than actually downloads the movies, but I could be wrong about that. Anyway, it may be worth playing with.
