Living in a Smart Home: Annoying as Hell
There's been and continues to be a lot of talk about the smart home and smart assistants. These are meant to make our lives easier and do those little things that are often annoyances for us. But at what price? We've heard horror stories of poorly secured web cams that expose us to outside surveillance. Worse yet these devices are too often easily hackable and expose our networks to malware or identity threats. The link below shows us what one investigator found out while monitoring what kind of data is being "phoned home".
