The Right to Repair - Steve Wozniak Empty Apple Supports Right to Repair

Post by bdahm Thu Nov 18, 2021 8:34 pm

After many many years of throwing roadblocks in the path of those who wanted to repair their own devices or take them to a repair facility of their choice, Apple is finally coming around to supporting the Right to Repair. This will mainly apply to relatively easy to repair jobs such as screen replacement, battery replacement and camera module replacement for starters. Nevertheless it is quite a reversal for Apple. Whether Apple has seen the light, has been listening to its customers or is just trying to head off government regulation or legislation is anybody's guess. Whatever the reason, it's a welcomed move.
