The M1 MacBook Pro is Really for Pros

Apple introduced it's new 14" and 16" M1 MacBook Pros in October of 2021. According to Marques Brownlee, these are truly next-level machines, rivaling what one could do a desktop machine. He says he has no qualms about doing his off-site video editing on this machine. Here's his video.

These MacBook Pros aren't cheap and they aren't for the average consumer for which the M1 MacBook Air has all the power you will need. But as this article from Cult of Mac says, these machines will pay for themselves in terms of increased productivity in a couple of months.

Once they've finished porting Ubuntu Linux onto it, a second hand one might be an option for power users. Hardware is impressive. MacOS looks good, but I need the power and versatility of Linux.
