For a while now Apple has been trying, not very successfully, to convince customers that they don't need a laptop, that and iPad is a bona fide replacement. Apple has now pushed that argument even further by designated its own OS, iPadOS. For one thing that will mean that as far as Safari is concerned you will no longer have to settle for a mobile browser, that you will not get the desktop browser. Also under iOS 13, you will be able to plug in thumb drives and other HDs. One step closer to a real file system.
